What's included?
The Roll-Up Shooting Pad 260 x 122 cm (4 x 8.5 ft) and the Extreme Hockey Passer Clamp-On Pro, with the straps you roll the pad up with.
Does the passer fit on the edge of the pad?
Yes, that is what it is built for. The Clamp-On Pro clamps onto the edge with the screws already fitted. No drilling and no tools beyond what comes in the box.
Can I use real pucks?
Yes. Both the pad and the passer are built for regular black hockey pucks.
Which side do I shoot on?
The slippery side, which feels clearly smoother than the back. When you roll the pad up, lay the slippery side face down on the floor and roll from one short end. The shooting surface then ends up on the outside of the roll and is protected.
The pad does not lie completely flat, is that a fault?
No. The plastic bows a little from cold and from having been rolled up. Roll it out and put something heavy in the corners for a few hours, preferably somewhere warm, and it settles. The more you use the pad, the flatter it lies.
Can it be left outside?
The pad is UV treated and weatherproofed and handles rain. Wipe it off and roll it up when you are done and it will last longer.
Can I make the surface slicker?
No, and you should not need to. The surface glides straight away with regular pucks. Do not use wax, spray or oil, it collects dirt and makes the glide worse over time. Sweep it off instead.
Do I need a partner to train?
No, that is the whole point of the kit. The passer sends the puck back the same way every time, so you can work on receiving passes and one-timers alone.
How is it different from the other kit?
The XL comes with the larger 305 x 138 cm pad. The passer is the same. The XL gives more room to change angle between shots.
How fast is shipping?
2-5 business days across the EU. Free shipping on all orders over EUR 200.
